Multisport athlete and FTM product tester - Ben Morris - shares his thoughts on Huma Plus Energy Gels which are loaded with electrolytes that help prevent cramping and fatigue during exercise.

A couple of things make Huma Chia Energy Gel stand out from other brands. First, only all natural ingredients are used. The long list of unpronounceable ingredients commonly found on most gels is absent in Huma products. A small list of natural ingredients ensures a better tasting flavor that will keep customers happy. Fruit puree, evaporated cane juice, filtered water, brown rice syrup, sea salt, citric acid, and of course chia seeds are what you will find in Huma gels.

Second, it's made with Chia seeds. Why chia seeds? Chia seeds have a long history as an endurance fuel. Ancient Aztec tradition held that an ounce of chia seeds could sustain a warrior for 24 hours. Today, chia is considered a superfood because:
  • It has more Omega-3’s than any other crop in the world (Omega-3’s reduce inflammation)
  • It has more antioxidants than blueberries (protecting your body from free-radicals)
  • It is a complete protein, providing you with all 9 Essential Amino Acids (important for
preventing muscle breakdown when exercising longer than 2 hours)
  • It has 25% soluble fiber. A chia seed can absorb 9-12x its bodyweight in water. This is
especially important for Hüma because it creates a small barrier to absorption, which then prevents sugar spikes/flash crashes.
Huma Gel is the all natural product that meets the need of athletes today and includes the clean energy they demand. With a shelf life of 24 months, consumers will leave your store confident they have made the correct choice that complements their health.

Take one gel for every 45-90 minutes of sustained activity. Follow with water or your preferred sport drink.
