In hot conditions  this can be especially challenging.  A great sport drink helps in the prevention and control of heat stress, primarily by replacing sweat electrolytes and fluid as they are lost. If electrolyte balance is maintained within, and you supply enough fluid to replace losses you are well on your way to success in the heat!

RECOMMENDED USE
For use during endurance exercise and activity. Add one scoop to 16 fl.oz (500ml) of water. Shake or stir to dissolve. Drink as required during endurance activity.

Pre-loading
The use of e load prior to activity is an important way to ensure that you are physiologically ready to perform, addressing the following:
  • Dehydration
  • Electrolyte Depletion
  • Hypoglycemia

The purpose of preloading is to make sure that no water, electrolyte or carbohydrate deficits exist prior to starting. Starting your activity dehydrated, electrolyte depleted or relatively hypoglycemic with reduced glycogen stores will limit performance for sure! e load is also ideal for rehydrating after a night's sleep and before a morning training session or race-early morning dehydration is the norm after your typical night's sleep.

During activity
Use of e load™ during your activity is important to:

  • maintain hydration
  • maintain electrolyte balance
  • contribute to carbohydrate balance, reducing the chance of bonking
  • buffer lactic acid as it is produced

How much to ingest entirely depends on how much you are sweating. In short, if you sweat one liter per hour in the conditions in which you are exercising, than you should try to replace these losses at a maximum of this rate, in order to optimize hydration and to balance sweat electrolyte losses.
