We found the article linked below interesting as it discusses the findings of a small clinical trial that conclude that pure caffeine helps improve performance but coffee (containing the same amount of caffeine), does not. This suggests that there is some substance in coffee that cancels the benefits of pure caffeine. It's clear that more research is needed to find this trial's results conclusive but it's an interesting finding and good news for those who don't like the taste of coffee.
